Of course show choir has its glitz and glam reputation, but there's more to it than just the entertainment aspect. If you've ever seen a Show Stopper performance, all of the dazzling and precise choreography, singing, costuming, and even flyers are not only created by the director, but the majority of what makes us, us is the leadership within our group.

There are a number of opportunities to develop or strengthen your leadership skills as a Show Choir member.

Show Choir members that wish to become about of the leadership team undergo an apprenticeships where they performer series of processes in which the current captains/leaders choose them based on how they perform. For example, the dance captains will assign the dance apprentices to come up with choreography to teach the singer/dancers for a practice and get scared based on how well they taught, and how well we received it.

The leadership positions offered are

  • Choral Captains

  • Dance Captains

  • Cosmo Captains

  • Family Relations

  • Marketing Captains

  • Band Captains

One important thing to remember in our group is that even if you're not elected a leadership position , your position as a member of our Show Choir immediately sets you apart as a role model for your peers at McKendree!

PERFORMERS TODAY, LEADERS TOMORROW
